Abstract/Summary

The chapter explores a range of ways to develop links between mathematics and the arts. There is a focus on understanding how aspects of mathematics have inspired artistic thinking. Geometry is drawn upon as an art form to develop patterns inspired by nature. The chapters uses worked examples of how mathematics and the arts can be developed in primary schools.
