Discusses Endurance Corporate Capital Ltd v Sartex Quilts and Textiles Ltd (CA) clarifying the calculation of the amount recoverable under a property-related insurance policy after the insured subject was damaged or lost. Details the approach to whether an assured could recover rebuilding costs despite no repairs being performed by the trial, and was required by betterment to account for improvements made to the property at the insurer's expense.
