Abstract/Summary

Provides a translation of selected passages from the Colloquia of the Hermeneumata Pseudodositheana, with explanatory material and illustrations designed for people with little background in the ancient world. The Colloquia are ancient foreign-language textbooks and therefore offer dialogues about daily life similar to those in modern foreign-language textbooks; most passages date from the second and third centuries AD.
