Abstract/Summary

This document presents materials from the ‘Typeform dialogues’ project carried out at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London, in 1994–8 and afterwards. ‘Typeform dialogues’ was planned and designed as an interactive CD-based screen interface presenting a comparative survey of typeform history and description. Although not completed as planned, a PDF document, ‘Typeform dialogues’, was published in 2012, edited by Eric Kindel and with contributions by Catherine Dixon. That first edition contained the User’s Manual for the CD-based interface, together with various supporting materials that described the project. This second edition of the document adds essays by Eric Kindel (‘Eminents observed’) and Catherine Dixon (‘Systematizing the platypus’).
