Koroleva, O., McKeown, P., Pendle, A. and Shaw, P. (2007) Proteomic analysis of the plant nucleolus. In: Šamaj, J. and Thelen, J. (eds.) Plant Proteomics. Springer-Verlag, Berlin Heidelberg, pp. 247-269. ISBN 9783540726166

Additional Information The eukaryotic nucleolus is involved in ribosome biogenesis and a wide range of other RNA metabolism and cellular functions. An important step in the functional analysis of the nucleolus is to determine the complement of proteins of this nuclear compartment. Analysis of the plant nucleolar proteome led to discovery of the role of nucleolus in mRNA processing.
