Abstract/Summary

The work was selected by the curatorial team following an invitation to submit new work for the Southwark Open Exhibition. The work consists of a performance of an event based sculpture developed whilst on residency at Cow House Studios, Wexford, Ireland. The work develops themes of ephemera and form explored in other previous sculptural works. The video documents the temporary form; part chemical reaction and part visual inquiry, that also addresses concerns with repetition and ephemerality of women's labour.
