Abstract/Summary

This piece offers legal analysis on the legal situation governing graffiti works under Greek law. It focuses on situations where unauthorized graffiti qualifies as an artistic work and may be destroyed by the owners of the material support. This brings to light the conflict between two property rights: intellectual property rights on the work and property rights on the material support. The chapter focuses on this conflict, offering insights on the legal protection available under copyright law, the confines of the so-called intergrity right as a moral right of artists, and the criminal law remedies that are available.
