Abstract/Summary

During the Second World War, the Isotype Institute worked with the book packager Adprint to produce books sponsored by the Ministry of Information, providing cultural information that might be called ‘soft propaganda’. Both Adprint and Isotype were led by exiles from Central Europe who were keen to work for the British war e ort, and to envision plans for post-war democracy.
